Katie Jane Hughes – @katiejanehughes
Katie Jane Hughes is arguably one of the most well-known makeup artists on social media and has worked with big names like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Naomi Campbell. She’s probably best known for her incredible eye makeup, her ability to create a fluffy forehead on very sparse arches, and for her how-to tips, including makeup tips for hooded eyes.
Rose Gallagher – @rosegallagher
If you’ve been lucky enough to meet Rose IRL, you know she’s one of the warmest and friendliest people in the business, and we’re sure she’s appeared on your For You page if you are on Beauty TikTok. She’s the queen of accessible makeup tutorials and also hosts her own Beauty From the Heart podcast, while sharing her experience with rosacea.
Joy Adenuga – @joyadenuga
Joy creates some of the most beautiful eye makeup we’ve ever seen on top of being an amazing bridal makeup artist (she has a separate @bridesbyjoy account dedicated to that!). Along with serving up a healthy dose of beauty inspiration, she also has her own brand of makeup brushes, ByJoyadenuga.
Ruby Hammer MBE – @rubyhammer
To be honest, the list of projects that Ruby Hammer *hasn’t* been in during her career as a makeup artist is probably easier to compile, having worked on major campaigns for magazines, fashion designers, television and as a brand founder. After founding beauty makeup brand Ruby & Millie back then, she now has her own eponymous label. Follow her for everything from product recommendations to tips and tricks for mature skin.
Jamie Genevieve – @jamiegenevieve
Having started out as a counter-makeup artist, Jamie Genevieve’s content is both compelling and easy to watch – with her YouTube account not far off from a million subscribers – and her Instagram has the perfect modern take on the vibe. from the 90s. She launched her own makeup brand VIEVE at the end of 2020, with a range of amazing eye and lip products, and recently released her own vegan makeup brushes.
Pauline Briscoe – @paulinebriscoe
Pauline is an absolute legend and will teach you everything from perfecting that liquid liner flick to mastering ombre lips and all the smokey eye inspiration you could ask for. She’s also the go-to makeup artist for some very famous faces – her clients include everyone from Loose Women to Serena Williams.
Adeola Gboyega – @adeolagboyega
With over a decade of experience, you might remember Adeola from the Bobbi Brown PRO team back then, but now she’s an influencer in her own right. Along with great makeup tips and product recommendations, she’s also very knowledgeable about skincare and her glowing skin is goal setting.
