Ted is one of the most sought after hairstylists in the world with his work appearing in some of the finest editorial photo shoots as well as backstage at runway shows such as Chanel, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana. He’s also on the speed dial for many celebrities for awards season, including Anne Hathaway, Angelina Jolie, Lupita Nyong’o and more.
Without further ado, let’s hear their top tips…
What is one hair tip that everyone can benefit from?
Jeans: Healthy hair really starts from within. Things like nutrition, the right supplements, sleep, and stress management can all make a huge difference in keeping your hair looking its best.
Youssef : Don’t be afraid to try new things and experiment with different styles and products. As you grow, so should your hair.
Ted: Every woman should change her hair twice a year. The color, the cut, the layers, the length. It doesn’t have to be a major change, just something that gives you a new approach to life.
Sat: Do not seek perfection. Not only is perfection unattainable, but it’s boring and unnatural. Hair looks much fresher when it’s been a bit damaged. I love styling hair, texturing it and then undoing it to give it a bit of edge.
Frederic: Enhance the natural beauty of your hair, not fight it. Feed it with proper care and styling and find the haircut that best suits your face shape, hair texture and lifestyle.
Chris: Use your hair as a way to express your personality, your personality and your individual style. And don’t be afraid to change it up from time to time for a fresh look that matches your personal style and mood. A good style is the one that makes you feel confident!
What’s your ultimate 60 second style hack that creates an instant transformation?
Jeans: The easiest way to add a style that takes less than 60 seconds is to change your part after the style. For example, if you styled your hair with a middle parting, flip your hair into a side parting and it will add instant volume and completely transform the style.
Ted: Spray a great texturizing product on dry hair and blow out with a hair dryer for the ultimate volume.
Sat: It’s actually less than 60 seconds! Tilt your head upside down, spray my Cool Girl Texturizing Spray into the hair, then grate it with your fingers to style it. Whatever you do, don’t brush it!
Charlotte: Always use a diffuser for bouncy, soft curls, more volume and a defined curl pattern.
Chris: Try flipping your hair to the side for a whole new look instantly. Your hair will feel more alive with more texture and volume.
If you could only use one hair product for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Youssef : L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray. I use it for everything from prepping to locking hair.
