Hello, hello, hello, welcome to another episode of Baby’s First Switch! As you (hopefully) know by now, I select different games to play on my Nintendo Switch each month, which includes asking all of you for advice. This month’s game I need your newbie tips for is none other than the iconic Legends of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Yes, it’s true. I finally gave in and decided to play what I know will challenge me more than any other Switch game I’ve played so far.
The reason for my initial hesitation is that I’m not good at logic. Like, at all. My brain doesn’t think rationally and when too much is going on I get overwhelmed. Basically I have the same logical skills as a 4th grader, in fact they might be smarter than me.
I also have a really hard time with puzzles that require ANY form of math, reasoning, or science. That’s why I’m a writer.
So, for this Baby’s First Switch, I need you more than ever, and even more your beginner’s advice. Please, help me hear myself Breath of nature. I can’t let this purchase linger on me for the rest of my life knowing I couldn’t complete it because of how many times I’ll probably cry over a puzzle I can’t figure out. Or how many times I keep dying in battle, or in the fields, or by those purple lava-like things.
We did a community review a long time ago and you all had a lot of thoughts, feelings and emotions about Breath of nature. So now give me that same energy with your newbie tips.
The Legends of Zelda: Breath of the Wild beginner tips i need
I already know it’s a hard game full of puzzles that my slick little brain can’t figure out, so you better believe I need it all only tips and tricks you might have for a simple beginner like me.
And if you don’t give me any of your newbie tips for breath of the wild I will just stop working. I’ll be stuck, frozen in time, glued to this keyboard I’m currently typing on.
This is going, without being dramatic or anything, to break my heart.
Look, I know I’m getting desperate here. I don’t want to say I’ve been ghosted by all of you, Kotaku Australia community, but I’m starting to have doubts about our relationship. It’s me? Am I the bad guy? Why didn’t you answer our texts? (By texts I mean the comments section. It’s literally right below this article and you can jot down all the things you want to say, we all know how much you love that. It’s free too! )
Anyway, the last time I asked for beginner’s advice, the only person who came to my rescue was Louie. Even after my threats to send our Ruby Goblins! I hope you all enjoy being drooled over by them.
This time, I’m not going to threaten you for advice. I will just be disappointed. Not mad, disappointed.
Yeah, try to live with that.
