Horse racing: Advice from Sandown: Jockey Jamie Kah should win on Pacific Ruby at Sandown

Star jockey Jamie Kah is expected to make a winning comeback over a rider trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace at Wednesday’s meeting at Sandown.

Herald Sun analyst Brad Waters leads the rule at Wednesday’s meeting at Sandown Hillside.

PACIFIC RUBY (Race 4 No.9 – $2.60)

Far too well for her rivals during the recovery on heavy ground in Moe. Steps up his class for it but is able to win again.

LAURION (Race 1 No.4 – $8)

Laurion hit the line hard when he was close in Bendigo last time out. Improving the guy who could break through for a win at Sandown.

FERAGO (Race 3 #4 – $2.40)

Just missed last time in class at the Lakeside track, but impressed with three wins on this previous trip. Can bounce, especially if the track is heavy.

VITTORIOSA (Race 7 No.15 – $8)

Vittoriosa rode forward and was edged late over 1600m last time out, but the 1800m walk might suit the mare. She is a solid chance in every way.

NOTHING SILLY (Race 2 #7 – $14)

Nothing Stupid worked home enough in lower ground at Geelong, but he wasn’t far in the Saturday class in races before that. He can disagree.

Damien Oliver resumes after a break at Sandown with three rides on Wednesday. CHOPIN (Race 2 No.2 – $7), PRICE RAVGÉ (Race 4 No.5 – $11), HOPKINS (Race 7 No.7 – $15).
