ITV Saturday starts here with a handicap of more than 1m1f. It’s a tough race to sort. V SIGHT is the one that interests me here for Ralph Beckett and Silvestre de Sousa. My prospect has three and is straight into a handicap on a mark of 74. The Churchill son was last seen when he was fourth behind a Gosden inmate in Newmarket on 7f. This step in the journey will see a lot of improvement. Have a few pounds each way.

ITV is also in York for this handicap on 1m4f for amateurs. THRONE ROOM is down in the handicap after a few bad races, but was second at this track in August last year with 98 and can go with 92 here. This effort was only five races ago and as long as the wheels haven’t completely dropped he can bounce back to form. It was formerly ranked 102.

Another handicap here but this time over 1m and it’s another tricky race. OUZO must have claims for the Osborne team from trainer Jamie and jockey Saffie. My prospect was a good fourth of 30 behind Real World in last season’s Royal Hunt Cup on a mark of 96 and although 4 pounds for a loss last time out, he is on 94 here. This gives him a good chance even with huge weight.

It is a handicap greater than 7f. LION TOWER should arrange a big one for Grant Tuer and Sam James. My hopes remain strong for this trip and I was a good second out of 20 last time on this track behind Eilean Dubh in May. It tops the same mark here of 90, so really should have claims in both directions at least.

Publicly listed company now with the Scurry for three year olds over 5 feet. It’s hard to walk away CATURRA here for Clive Cox and Adam Kirby. Rated 110 after a good second in a Group 3 at Chantilly and far from having fallen out of favor behind El Caballo at Haydock last time, the colt will find it difficult to stop.

A Listed race for horses over 1m60. WITHOUT FIGHT can give weight here for Andrea Atzeni and Simon and Ed Crisford. The trip could make improvements and he can follow Mandoob and pounce late. His second behind Hukum at Meydan three races ago was a great run as the Coronation Cup showed the other day.

ITV travels to Chester for a race on Saturday in this handicap on an extended 7f. It’s a tricky competition. EXIT was a decent winner at this track for this blog two races ago and from a good draw he can come away from a 5 pound mark higher. He has since been beaten at Haydock, but it was over a mile and he can sit and pounce for Kublers and Derby hero Richard Kingscote.

A difficult handicap on 6f. SHOWTIME MAHOMES improved dramatically in his last two races at this track and only gained 5lbs for a really good win last time out. The distance is perfect and in his current form he can enter again.

So good luck and pray for Yeeehaaas. Can you hear me Paddy?
