Parents on Reddit were quick to share their own creative meal hacks in the comments section.
“My 3 year old yelled ‘no’ at every meal recently. Insists on snacks only. Ok, you got it kid! Here’s a hot dog to taste. Do you want an oatmeal snack or a bagel snack this morning? Does the pasta snack around noon sound good to you? Hahaha!” a parent laughed.
“My child drank ‘cow juice’ with dinner every night for eight months when he was two,” another parent shared. “He was screaming up and down that milk was gross, he didn’t like milk, it was gross, blah blah blah, but ‘cow juice is the best’.”
“We have berries and melons. How about some pea berries? Yeah! Carrot-melon? Yum!” another creative parent wrote.
“My son was a ‘tree’ eating dinosaur – aka broccoli,” a parent said.
“My daughter loves ‘Blippi Sandwiches’, ‘Paw Patrol Juice’ and ‘Blues Clues Pasta’. No way she eat most of the food we put before her otherwise,” another parent wrote.
“We did the same thing the other day telling our LO that she needed to eat puppy kibble like doggies do. She cleaned her plate with that in mind,” laughs a parent.
“It’s all about brand image. Good job!” cheered another Redditor.
“I’m dead,” another Redditor simply wrote.
However, one Redditor might have said it better when he commented, “Having kids is like an advanced course in quick creative problem solving and deception.”
We certainly never get bored at the table when toddlers are around!
