The first Street Fighter 6 Kimberly cosplay we’ve seen is here and it’s just as gorgeous and perfect as you’d hope

Jahara Jayde looks fantastic as newcomer Bushinryu

Capcom first teased Kimberly, a brand new world warrior, back in June with their first Street Fighter 6 gameplay trailer. making his big debut, and the star ninja is already proving to be a popular addition to the Street Fighter world – and rightly so.

The cosplay community is some of the hardest working people we know, as the time we see between a new character reveal and the resulting cosplay gets smaller and smaller as the quality of appearance s improving more and more. I say all of this to say that we now have the first Street Fighter 6 Kimberly cosplay we’ve seen – created by cosplayer and streamer Jahara Jayde – and it’s absolutely fantastic.

Kimberly is agile, energetic and has a design that takes Guy Bushinryu’s classic outfit and modifies it for a new generation. She has long, flowing tresses with spikes that almost look like they’ve been spray painted (which actually matches her overall theme), a cropped red jacket, yellow wrists and legs, a headband, and a colorful ascot.

Jayde nails the look, with the hair, jacket, wraps and even her headphones being totally on point. The cosplayer has shared a handful of photos of Kimberly’s cosplay on social media, and we can even see it in motion thanks to a short video illustrating what Kimberly might be up to while in her idle position.

Right off the bat, we’ve got another great cosplay from one of the currently announced fighters from Street Fighter 6. Last time we saw SF6 Caytie Cosplay’s Chun-Li slay with the first female in the fighting games new design.

Jayde has certainly set the bar high here for future portrayals of the character, and I’m guessing based on her popularity, we’ll be seeing a lot more Kimberly cosplayers down the road.

While Jayde’s Kimberly might be the (ninja) star of the show here, this artist has plenty of other great character portrayals in her repertoire. The Legend of Zelda’s Sheik, Final Fantasy’s Tifa, Ruby Rose and many more can and should definitely be seen on Jahara’s various social media profiles, so be sure to check them out.

Street Fighter 6 is scheduled for release in 2023.
